bx-ay=d

where d is a constant.

5x+2y=20

any line perpendicular to it is 2x-5y=d

∵ it passes through (5,10)

so 2(5)-5(10)=d

d=10-50=-40

reqd. eq. is 2x-5y=-40

or 5y=2x+40

y=2/5 x+8
