Explanation:

7x + 3(5-3x) = 5

7x + 15 - 9x = 5

-2x + 15 = 5

-2x = 5 - 15

-2x = -10 ÷ 2

If you’re solving for x your answer will be 5. Isolate the variable by dividing each side by factors that don’t contain the variable.
