An easy experiment would be to take a sealed aluminum can that only contains air. Tie the can to a heavy object that will sink in deep water. As the object and the can sink in the water, you will see that the can will begin to crush inward and eventually it will implode. The can will be compressed by the water pressure which will compress the air inside the can. The pressure inside the can will become to great for the can to be able to hold. The can will rupture to allow the compressed air out.
