Statement:

The area of a rectangular field is 28x^2-56x square units and one of its side is 7x units.

To find out:

The other side of the rectangular field.

Solution:

Area of the rectangular field = 28x^2-56x square units

Let its length be 7x units.

We know, area of a rectangle = length × breadth

So, breadth = area ÷ length

Therefore, the breadth of the rectangular field

= \frac{ {28x}^(2) - 56x}{7x} \\ = (7x(4x - 8))/(7x) \\ = 4x - 8

Answer:

The other side of the rectangular field is 4x-8 units.
