-0.5-x=a positive anwer i need help i soo need a a in my math class so help please

Firstly, I think the other commenter misread, it’s not a, it’s a positive integer. x must equal a negative number that is less than -0.5

x= -a-0.5

you add (0.5) to both sides, to cancel out the -0.5 on the left side.

then you have -x=a+0.5

then multiply both sides by (-1) to cancel out the (-x).

so youre left with x= -a - 0.5
