Explanation:

4s² + 12s = -9

→ Add 9 to both sides

4s² + 12s + 9 = 0

→ Find factors that times to 9 and add to 12

( 2s + 3 ) ( 2s + 3 ) = 0

→ Solve

s =
-(3)/(2) or 0.15
