Skin has three layers:

The epidermis, the outermost layer of skin, provides a waterproof barrier and creates our skin tone.
The dermis, beneath the epidermis, contains tough connective tissue, hair follicles, and sweat glands.
The deeper subcutaneous tissue (hypodermis) is made of fat and connective tissue.

The epidermis is the outermost layer of the skin, it creates our skin tone from our protective melanin, and it provides a waterproof barrier for protection.

The dermis, the middle layer of the skin below the epidermis, contains hair follicles, thick, connective tissue, and sweat glands.

Finally, the hypodermis, or fatty layer, the third and last layer of the skin below the dermis, is composed of fat and connective tissue.

Hope this helped you. Good day to you.
