The absolute value is represented by |x|, and in the above illustration, | 4 | = | -4 | = 4. The absolute value of a number is its distance from 0. We know that distance is always a non-negative quantity. So i think its -4

Explanation:

absolute value is not affected by negative numbers if inside the absolute value bars. since you did not include an image i am guessing here. the fours would be accurate since there is no addition, subtraction or multiplaction
