3/2 or 1 1/2

Explanation:

Multiplying a fraction by a whole number is simply getting the whole number and multiplying it by the numerator of the fraction, followed by dividing the result by the denominator.

If so, 1/2 * 3 will equal 3/2, and dividing will make it equal a dirty decimal. We can leave it as is.
