Water level will rise up by a volume equal to the volume of the stone and if the volume of the stone is more than the empty space in the glass, water will overflow the glass. per Archimedes experiments, the water will be displaced an amount to equalize the mass of the stone.

Example !! ⬇️

If stones are removed from the boat, it becomes lighter and displaces less water. That means it rises up so that less of its volume is below the surface. ... If something is submerged in water, it will displace an amount of water equal to its volume.
