A box is made so that a 4 inch diameter softball fits inside and is tangent to each side of the box another box is made so that a 1 foot diameter ball fits the same way what is the difference in the volumes of the 2 boxes

Volume of box 1 (as determined by the diameter of the ball tangent to the sides):

L * W * H = V

4in x 4in x 4in = 64in^3

Volume of box 2:

12in * 12in * 12in = 1728in^3

Difference in volumes:
