-x +5 =1/2x +2

-x - 1/2x = 2-5

-3/2x = - 3

-3/2x ÷ - 3/2 = - 3 ÷ -3/2

x= 2

Substitute x=2 in any equation

y= -(2) + 5

y= 3

The answer is (2,3) the way you solve it is by finding the point where BOTH lines intercept which is at 2,3
