The length of a rectangle is 6 inches more than the width. If the perimeter is 68 inches, what are the length and the width?

Explanation:

68= 2(L+ W)
L+w= 34
(6+w) + w= 34
6 + 2w = 34
2w= 28
W= 14
L= 14+6 = 20
L= 20 AND W=14
