Answer:

The trick I learned was to keep change flip, or multiply by the reciprocal when you have a division problem w/ fractions

Explanation:

for example: 2/3 divided by 2/1 is the same as 2/3 times(change the sign from div. to mult.) 1/2(the reciprocal or the opposite, just flip the numerator and denominator), so 2/3 x 1/2

Answer:

1/2

Explanation:

When dividing a fraction by any number, you first convert that number to a whole number.

Let's take your example of 2/3 ÷ 2

You would first convert all values to a fraction:

2/3 ÷ 2/1

Than you take the number you are dividing by (divisor) and find the reciprocal

(flip the numerator and denominator)

You then have to turn it into a multiplication problem:

2/3 × 1/2

Multiply:

2 x 1/3 x 2 = 2/6 = 1/3
