Given that f(x) =x-3 and g(x)=x^2 -x find (f+g) (-5)

Explanation:

We must plug in x which is -5

Into each function

f(-5)=x-3

=-5-3

=-8

Now for g(x)

g(-5)=-5^2- (-5)

= 25 +5

=30

Now add because that's what they told us (f+g)

f+g= -8 +30

=22
