f(16) = 3. f(3) = 16.

Explanation:

So, the only thing we have to do, is plug the functions into its variables.

1. f(16) =
√(16) - 1

2. f(16) = 4 - 1 (since 4 x 4 will give 16, we will break 16 to 4)

3. f(16) = 3. (subtract and get the answer)

g(x)

G(3) =
3^(2) + 7

g(3) = 9 + 7

g(3) = 16. (There we go, we got the answer!)
