The ratio of girls to boys in a dance club was 5 : 4. There were 48 boys. How many girls were there in the club?

There were 60 girls in the club because if you do 48 divided by 4. It would equal 12 and since the ratio is 5:4. The girls would be 12 x 5 which would be 60 girls. Hope this helps!

there were 60 girls because you do cross multiplication (5 x 48 is 240 4 x 60 is 240)
