lines that slope from the top right to bottom left have a positive gradient and those that slope from the top left to bottom right have a negative gradient

remember the format for line equations is y=mx+c

m being the gradient and c being the y-intercept [where the line crosses the y axis]

looking at the slope of the line it has a positive gradient so b and d are not possible answers

now we have to look at the graph to find out the y-intercept

using the scale of 1 box is equivalent to i unit we find out it crosses the y-axis at (0,2) making the y intercept 2 eliminating c from being a possible answer making a the right answer

if you try graphing all the other equations it would be either over the picture or just not in the right place.
