for many years history book claimed that "columbus discovered america." why do you think native americans might disagree with the word "discovered'' in this statement? what might be a better description?​

Because it wasn’t discovered by him. Columbus didn’t discover America, he came to America and the native Americans let him in they were kind to him and fed him but he did horrible things and killed and raped them and stole the land that was theirs and to this day America is called “ours”
