1. Irritable, testy, touchy, irascible are adjectives meaning easily upset, offended, or angered. ... Irascible means habitually angry or easily aroused to anger: an irascible tyrant, roaring at employees for the slightest error.

Anger triggers the body's 'fight or flight' response. Other emotions that trigger this response include fear, excitement and anxiety. The adrenal glands flood the body with stress hormones, such as adrenaline and cortisol.

There are three types of anger which help shape how we react in a situation that makes us angry. These are: Passive Aggression, Open Aggression, and Assertive Anger. If you are angry, the best approach is Assertive Anger.
