Explanation:
since EB bisects ∠RED, ∠REB = ½× ∠RED.
and the equation could be :
5x-3=½(8x+16)
5x-3=4x+8
5x-4x=8+3
x = 11
so, ∠BED = ∠REB = 5x – 3 = 5(11)-3
= 55-3 = 52°
