Answer: g(f(2)) = 11

Explanation:

g(f(2)) is substituting the value of f(2) for x in g(x). But we must first find f(2).

We know that f (x) = ax² - 12

Since f(3) = 24

⇒ a(3²) - 12 = 24

9 a = 36

a = 4

∴ f(2) = (4)(2²) - 12

= 4

⇒ g(f(2)) = 2(4) + 3

= 11
