Answer:

Explanation:

- 1/2(2n + 4) + 6= - 9 +4 (2n + 1)

If you can describe this as well as you have, you should be using Latex which is at the bottom of your editor when you ask the question

Remove the brackets.

-1/2 * 2n - 1/2 * 4 + 6 = - 9 + 8n + 4 Combine like terms.

-n - 2 + 6 = -9 + 8n + 4

-n + 4 = - 5 + 8n Add n from both sides.

4 = -5 + 8n + n

4 = -5 + 9n Add 5 to both sides

4 + 5 = 9n

9 = 9n Divide by 9

9/9 = 9n/9

n = 1
