Explanation:

okay we can calculate for gradient.

  • m=Y2-Y1 /X2-X1
  • =n-1 /-1-3
  • =n-1 /-4
  • Therefore we can say gradient is equal to n-1 /-4 (m=n-1 /-4)
  • n-1/-4=n-1 /-4
  • we cross multiply
  • 4(n-1)=--4(n-1)
  • 4n-4=-4n+4
  • we then solve for n
  • 4n+4n=4+4
  • 8n=8
  • we then devide both side by 8 in order to get the value of n
  • 8n/8=8/8
  • n=0
  • Therefore the line parallel to MN it is horizontaly lined
