The main difference in the conception of land
and ownership between the Native Americans
and the European Americans was that:
Native Americans were spiritually bonded with
the land, and they considered it as a creator of
life, thus the land was not belonging to anyone,
it was for everyone, and the people were the
ones that were belonging to the land not vice
versa.
- European Americans had a totally different
point of view, and they considered the land as
something that can be and should be owned, so
they were trying to get hold of as much land as
possible as their own, and thus restrict other
people from using that piece of land.
