If untreated, fevers of 104°F or higher may lead to brain damage. Why?

Answer:

the body sustains damage when the body temperature goes over 107°.6F, unless the fever is caused by outside sources (hyperthermia) or already present neurological problems there is almost no chance that this will happen though
