Can someone please help me because this is a hard problem to solve.

Two physics teachers challenge each other to a 100-m race across the football field. The loser will type the winner’s physics lesson plans for one month. Mr. Over street runs the race in 10.40 s. Mrs. Wood yard runs the first 25.0 m with an average speed of 10.0 m/s, the next 50.0 m with an average speed of 9.50 m/s, and the last 25.0 m with an average speed of 11.1 m/s. Who gets stuck typing physics lesson plans for the next month?

Answer:

25.0 m / 10 m/s = 2.5 s

50.0 / 9.5 = 5.26 s

25.0 / 11.1 = 2.25 s

T (Wood) = 2.5 + 5.26 + 2.25 = 10.0 s

Mrs Wood runs 10 s vs 10.4 for Mr Overstreet
