A serviceman charges an hourly rate of $60, but also charges a fixed fee for making

house calls regardless of time spend on the job. One day, the serviceman earned a
total of $220 for a 3 hour job. Write an equation for C, in terms t, representing the
total cost of the serviceman's services if the serviceman spends t hours at the house
working?

Answer:

Explanation:

pay rate = R = 60 dollars/hour

And time is 3 hours

60(t) + c = 220

So c can be computed(solve) by plugging back t value of 3 hours.

60(3) + c = 220

c = 220-180 => 40

Now the final equation is

F = 60(t) + 40, where F is the final cost
