The magnitude of the acceleration is 2.5m/s²

HOW TO CALCULATE ACCELERATION:

  • Acceleration can be calculated by dividing the force of a substance by its mass. That is:

Force = mass × acceleration

Acceleration = Force ÷ mass

  • In this case, the mass of car was given as 1000kg while the force was given as 2500N, the acceleration can be calculated as follows:

Acceleration = 2500N ÷ 1000kg

Acceleration = 2.5m/s²

Hence, the magnitude of the acceleration is 2.5m/s²
