If 20 people are participating in an activity, and 15 people decide not to participate. How would i calculate the percentage of people who did not participate vs who did participate?

Solution,

No. of people who participated= 20

No. of people who didn't participated= 15

Total number of people= 20+15= 35

Now,

Percentage of people who didn't participated

=No. of people who didn't participated/Total number of people×100%

=15/35×100%

=42.86%

Again,

Percentage of people who participated

participated=No. of people who participated/Total number of people×100%

=20/35×100%

=57.14%
