Telekinesis is a very much cooler super power and can be used to protect one self from danger. Although having a telepathy super power would be cool but it would be invasion of privacy. You might come across things you don't want to hear reading people's mind, and it would be better if you let people say their mind to you instead of reading them. I know what others might think "oh but doesn't telepathy tells you what you want to know from people?" yes but it can also bring a lot of trouble your way. So having telekinesis ability is better because it doesn't invade privacy and doesn't let you hear unwanted things.
