The perimeter of a square garden is 120 feet. Find the length of each sides of the

garden. What is the area of the garden?

Answer:

The length of each side is 30 feet. The area of the garden is 60 feet

Explanation:

Perimeter (P) = (L × 2) + (W × 2); Because there are 4 equal sides of a square, all you have to do to find the length of each side is divide it by 4; 120 ÷ 4 = 30

Area (A) = L ×W; So to find the area, you have to multiply the length of each equal side (in this case 30) by 2; 30 × 2 = 60
