The mean mass of five boys is 10.5 kg. The mean mass of three girls is 9.5 kg. Work out the mean mass of the eight young children young children. ​

the mean of 8 children = mean of 5 boys + mean of 3 girls / 2

10.5 + 9.5 / 2

20 / 2

= 10 kg

therefore mean of 8 children is 10 kg
