from equation 2,
y = 10 + 5x/5 - equation 3
substituting equation 3 into equation 1,
21x + 7(10 + 5x/5) = 42
21x(5) + 7(10 + 5x) = 42(5)
105x + 70 + 35x = 210
140x = 210 - 70
140x = 140
x = 1
when x = 1,
y = 10 + 5(1)/5
= 15/5
= 3
