In a sock drawer there are 8 black socks, 4 red socks and 6 orange socks, none of which are kept in a pair.

What is the probability that you will pull one black sock and one red sock from the drawer with your first two random selections from the drawer?

Show your answer as decimal number, to two decimal places.

Answer:

0.36

Explanation:

So the first step is to count up all the socks which is 18. Then I took 2 (because you can't just wear one sock) and multiplied it by 18 and got 36. The question asked for decimal form so I divided it by 100 and got 0.36.

I hope this helps you :)

2 * 18 = 36\\\\36/100 = 0.36
