x = 2 (doesn’t work in the equation)

3(2) -3 = 3 - 6(2)

X = 2/3 (works in the equation

3 (2/3) - 3 = 3 - 6(2/3)

2-3 = 3 - 4

- 1 = -1

Explanation:

|3x| - 3 = 3 - 6x

|3x| = 3 + 3 - 6x

|3x| = 6 - 6x

|3x| = -6 + 6x

3x = - 6 + 6x or 3x = 6 - 6x

6 = 6x - 3x

6 = 3x

x = 2

3x = 6 - 6x

3x + 6x = 6

9x = 6

x = 6/9

x = 2/3
