The first one does not work.

y = k * x

12 = k * 6 Divide both sides by 6

12/6 = k/6

k = 2

All the rest will fit into this equation.

try x = 2.5

y = k * x

y = 2 * 2.5

y = 5 which is just the amount of snowfall you should get.
