What is the solution to -4m-5n=1 and -6m+12n=-18

Explanation:

-4m -5n = 1 ------------------(1)

-6m +12n = -18--------------(2)

multiplying eq (1) by 3 and (2) by 2

therefore, the new eq obtained is

-12m -15n = 3 --------------(3) subtracting (3) AND

-12m +24n = -36-----------(4) (4)

(+) (-) (+)

--------------------------

-39n = 39

n= -1 ------------(5)

subtituting (5) in (1)

therefore,

-4m -5Ă—-1 =1

-4m +5=1

-4m=1-5

-4m=-4

m= 1

hence calue of m is 1 and n is -1
