The law of conservation of mass states that the combined mass of the reactants is dame as the combined mass of the products, in any chemical reaction. In other words, mass cannot be created or destroyed in any chemical reaction.

Proving the law with this chemical reaction:

= Mass of calcium carbonate

= 28 g + 22 g

= Combined mass of calcium oxide and carbon dioxide

= Mass of products

Hence proved
