Explanation:

7(5x + 12) = 2x - 3

35x + 84 = 2x - 3

Now, Subtract 84 from both side we get,

35x + 84 - 84 = 2x - 3 - 84

35x = 2x - 87

Now, Subtract 2x from both side we get,

35x - 2x = 2x - 2x - 87

33x = - 87

Then, divide both side by 33 we get,

33x/33 = - 87/33

x = - 29/11

Thus, The value of x is -29/11
