10x + 48 = 15x + 36

x=2.4

Explanation:

Step 1: move the 10x over by subtracting it from both sides: 48=5x+36

Step 2: move the 36 over by subtracting it from both sides: 12=5x

Step 3: divide by 5 on both sides: x=2.4
