Answer:

18. 3/4*2/1 = 6/4 = 1 2/4

(2/1 is the same thing as 2)

1 2/4 in simplest form = 1 1/2

20. 3/5*5/7 = 15/35

15/35 in simplest form = 3/7

Explanation:

When you multiply fractions, you simply multiply across. For example, 3/4*2/1. You would multiply the numerator which is 3*2 which is 6. Then you would multiply the denominator which is 4. Your final answer is 6/4 which is 1 2/4 as a mixed fraction and can be simplified to 1 1/2. Another example is 3/5*5/7. You would multiply the numerator which is 3*5 which is 15. Then you would multiply the denominator which is 5*7 which is 35. Your final answer is 15/35 which can be simplified down to 3/7 because when you divide 15 and 35 both by 5, you get those numbers and you can't simplify it anymore. Hope this helps!
