What is the slope of the line that passes through the ordered pairs (4, -19) and (8, -29)?

So basically use the formula for gradient.


Y2-Y1/X2-X1

You have this formula so just substitute the values into it…

-19+(2 negatives = positive) 29/ 4-8
=10/-4
=5/-2

Hence the slope = 5/-2
