The answer is seven because if you do 7×5+3 you would get the same value from the other side

The parallel side of the equation is 38. Which means the side of the equation must be equal to that. Thats how parallelograms work.

So the equation 5x+3 can be broken down like this:

5(x)+3

5(7)+3 fill in number where variable was

5×7= 35 so the equation becomes

35+3 = 38

38=38

in the future just plug in each answer (the numbers) into the equation and use the process of elimation to find the answer :)
