30 POINTS HELP ASAP

A bike lock has a 4 digit combination. Each character can be any digit between 1-9. The only restriction is that all 4 characters cannot be the same. For example, 1111, 2222, 3333,...etc. How many combinations are possible?

Answer: 6552 combinations
Explanation: you would do 9*9*9*9 to represent the digits in each slot of the combination, which would leave you with 6561 combinations.

There are also the combinations that cannot be the same numbers so if you subtract 9 from 6561 you are left with 6552.

So the answer would be 6552 combinations.

Hope this helps!
