Age of Amanda= x
Age of Gregory= 17
Also, Age of Gregory= x+5
Finding x:
x + 5 = 17
=> x = 17 - 5
=> x = 12
Therefore, Amanda is 12 yrs old.
ANSWER: The equation which shows the age of Amanda is: x + 5 = 7
