  • (1,-3)
  • (3,-5)

Slope

  • m=(-5+3)/3-1
  • m=-2/2
  • m=-1

Equation in point slope form

  • y+3=-1(x-1)
  • y+3=-x+1
  • y=-x+1-3
  • y=-x-2

Answer:

y=-x-2

Explanation:

slope-intercept form is y = mx+b

slope is change in y over change in x, which is -5-(-3)/(3-1) = -1

y = -x+b

plugging in a point, like (1,-3), we have -3 = -1+b. b = -3+1 = -2

y = -x-2
