21(2 – x) + 12x = 44

=> 42 - 2x + 12x = 44
=> 42 - 14x = 44
=> -14x = 44 - 42
=> x = 14/2
=> x = 7

ANSWER: x = 7

Answer:

Expand the 21(2-x)=42-21x

then you add 12 x with 42-21x

making it 42-9x=44

hence,

-9x= 2

9x= -2

x= - 2/9
