A triangle has a perimeter of 102 yards. The first side is twice the length of the second side. The third side is 6 yards longer than the second side. How long is each side ?

Answer:

48,24,30

Explanation:

Let, the length of second side be x

A/c to question,

first side (a) = 2x

second side (b) = x

third side (c) = x + 6

Perimeter of ∆ (p) = 102

And,

Perimeter of ∆ = a + b + c

102 = 2x + x + x + 6

102 - 6 = 4x

96 = 4x

x = 96/4

x = 24

Now,

first side = 2*24 = 48

second side = 24

third side = 24 + 6 = 30
