Per day: 808

Per trip: 202

Explanation:

If the ferry transports 42016 people in 52 days, then if we divide this by 52 we will end up with the amount of people per day.

42016 ÷ 52 = 808

∴ 808 people were transported per day

if 808 people were transported each day, and only 4 trips were made, we can divide the 808 people between the 4 trips:

808 ÷ 4 = 202

∴ 202 people were transported per trip
